Dream City is a multichannel installation which exhibited on 54 screens in Lower Manhattan's Fulton Center. It was commissioned by the MTA as part of its art and design program. "Dream City" is meant as a celebration of 24 hour subway service and the resilience of my home city in the face of adversity. It is based on one of my favorite activities as a New Yorker: people watching on the subway. The enigmatic animal passengers in the piece are depictions of my fellow commuters.The piece was created using hand drawn animation in Photoshop and compositing in AfterEffects.
